Wanted: Meera Jasmine back in films!
Where on earth has Meera Jasmine disappeared? The actress who had made such a promising start in Malayalam films is nowhere to be found, and has almost disappeared from the film scene altogether.
Rarely does an actress’ career go the way it has, as in Meera’s case. What an impressive debut she had made opposite Dileep in Lohithadas’s film ‘Soothradharan’, and had even later followed it up with several other stunning performances in films like ‘Ore Kadal’, ‘Calcutta News’, ‘Rasathanthram’ and so many others.
Meera had acted in a few Tamil films as well, and slowly we saw her acting in lesser and lesser number of films. Her last release in Malayalam was ‘Mohabbat’ that sank without a trace at the box office. But she is still remembered by movie lovers as an actress of substance, and it would be a shame, if she left films just like that.
There had been so may news reports of Meera deciding to get married, and we thought perhaps that’s the reason why she had moved away from films. But that doesn’t seem to be the case either, and Meera has become totally inaccessible of late. We hope the actress would soon be back where she rightly belongs, and that she would stun us with her proven histrionic talents all over again.
