Will ‘Madirasi’ prove lucky for Meera Nandan?

Submitted by on June 4, 2012 – 2:30 pmNo Comment |

Meera Nandan is an actress who has had it all – a much appreciated stint as a television anchor and then a dream launch into the film industry opposite one of the best actors in Malayalam, Dileep, by one of the best directors in Malayalam films, Lal Jose.

And yet, people were surprised when her filmi career never really took off. Meera did act in several Malayalam films after ‘Mulla’ which was a debacle, but all these films offered nothing to her as an actress. She also tried her luck in Tamil films, but they didn’t come to her rescue either.

Finally, Meera has landed herself a plum role opposite Jayaram in the upcoming Shaji Kailas film ‘Madirasi’. Will ‘Madirasi’ change Meera’s fortunes? Only time will tell. The actress is however glad that finally a role has come her way that might just make a difference. All the best, Meera!
