State award jury member feels that Mohanlal should have been Best Actor!
A few days after the announcement of the Kerala State Film Awards, a member of the jury, C R Chandran has stated that it was Mohanlal who should have got the award for Best Actor.
Chandran has revealed that the Jury Chairman K Bhagyaraj felt that Dileep was the better actor of the two, and had convinced the rest of the jury members as well. Similarly, there was also a difference of opinion when it came to the film ‘Pranayam’. The jury had decided to give the award to Blessy, taking into consideration his directorial style, though it was alleged that ‘Pranayam’ was inspired by the Australian film ‘Innocence’.
This is probably for the first time that a jury member has openly come out revealing the differences in opinion among the jury members in deciding the state awards.
