jannat2 poster 650 050112123721 213x300 Jannat 2 (2012) Hindi Movie Review AggregatorJannat 2, the Bollywood crime thriller film and a sequel to the 2008 hit film, Jannat. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt and features Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta in lead roles. Critics seem mixed about their views of the film!

Raja Sen of Rediff is disappointed all right: “A lot would have been forgiven — as it often is with these producers — if the film had either a meatier plot or a more gripping narrative, but this one’s just tiresome as the obvious story drags on. “

Deccan Chronicle shares the sentiments: “Have gun, no fun. All sorts of hand-made revolvers, pistols and tamanchas are toted by a ganglord’s chamchas. Hundreds of lethal weapons are packed into cavernous cartons, incalculable money is made out of this illegal arm-trade. So guys, welcome to the carton channel.”

Koimoi sounds impressed: “The narrative has the stamp of the Bhatt camp but it also makes sure that the language and mannerisms of Delhi are incorporated, making the drama more authentic. On the whole, Jannat 2 is an entertaining fare from Vishesh Films. If you go in expecting that, you won’t be disappointed.”
