‘Vicky Donor’ to meet a taboo head on!

Submitted by on March 26, 2012 – 9:46 pmNo Comment |

Quiz producer John Abraham on whether his maiden production venture ‘Vicky Donor’ is too risky a project, and the actor brushes aside the suggestion with a smirk. He hopes instead that ‘Vicky Donor’ would be able to meet a topic that is considered taboo in the Indian society head on – that of infertility and sperm donation!

Director Shoojit Sircar  on his part, has been researching on the topic for about three years before the shoot actually began! His intention, says the director was to take “a light-hearted look at the taboo attached to infertility and artificial insemination.”

The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles. John Abraham would appear in an item number in the film that goes “Rum Whisky”. Produced under the banner of Rising Sun Films, ‘Vicky Donor’ would make it to the theatres on the 20th of April, 2012.
