I never wanted to become an actor: Sasikumar

Submitted by on February 29, 2012 – 8:41 amNo Comment |

Tamil actor – director Sasikumar who left a mark in Tamil cinema with films as ‘Subrahmanyapuram’ and ‘Nadodigal’ says that becoming an actor was never his intention. Sasikumar says that he had always wanted to become a director instead, though he ended up being an actor as well.

Sasikumar says that he ventured into acting in ‘Subrahmanyapuram’ only because an actor who was expected to arrive for shooting had failed to turn up at the last moment. He had no other option but to step in, and before he knew it, he had turned into an actor!

Sasikumar is currently acting in the Malayalam film ‘Masters’ along with Prithviraj. He says that he had decided to act in the Johny Antony films, because he was overwhelmed by the response of the Kerala audience towards his Tamil films. He also adds that he even dreams of directing a Malayalam film some day!
