It was quite difficult for me in the industry before ‘Traffic’: Rajesh Pillai
Director Rajesh Pillai in a conversation with a prominent FM Radio station revealed that before ‘Traffic’ happened it was quite difficult for him to fight it out in the industry. He added in jest that even after ‘Traffic’ he has had to encounter trouble makers, though only few and far-in-between!
Talking about the Bollywood version of ‘Traffic’, Rajesh said that the role of the Superstar in the film would be played by an actor that would remain a secret as of now. “It would be a surprise for sure,” he said. He also revealed that he had plans of casting Soha Ali Khan in the role that was essayed by Sandhya in the Malayalam version, but that things couldn’t be worked out because the makers weren’t very confident about casting her.
Rajesh asserted that he thought of Ranjith as the harbinger of change in Malayalam films. The young director has also plans of making another film titled ‘Gold’ that is expected to start rolling pretty soon.
