The film stars Nivin Pauly and Nedumudi Venu in the lead roles along with Namitha Pramod, who is being launched as a mainstream heroine.

Sathyan says that the decision not to include stars was not purposeful. Rather, this was a story that demanded the actors that have done the roles. ‘Puthiya Theerangal’ would be released in September.
