Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi (2012) Review Aggregator

Director Shanugarajan’s Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi  that was released last Friday features 71 newcomers. Reviews of the film haven’t been that encouraging!

Behind Woods thinks of it as a novel idea gone wrong: “AMT is a novel idea. The director has tried to tell the five important traits needed to keep a relationship alive and he has chosen to do this by showing a couple who fail in all five of them. A good thought. But, he makes the mistake of pulling down the relationship too early in the film and then following it up with these traits.”

Nowrunning sounds all irritated: ” I will admit though, I laughed quite a bit. Mostly at the film, not with the film. When the film is done with all the jokes, it gets to two simple-minded imbeciles quarrelling over minor differences. And it is such people that this marriage counselling seminar is pitched at.”

Times City feels the same: ” The workshop seems to have done a lot of good for the lead cast, but the same cannot be said of the director. Seems he should also have taken part in a screen-writing workshop before starting work on the movie – for the writing is bad, and the pacing and editing uneven.”
