Adhinayakudu (2012) Telugu Movie Review Aggregator

‘Adhinayakudu’, the Telugu film written and directed by Parachuri Murali has been produced by M L Padma Kumar Chowdhary under his Sree Keerthi Creations banner. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Lakshmi Rai, Saloni and Jayasudha in lead roles. The film has generated average to below average reviews!

Rediff says its strictly for Balakrishna fans: “The film is unabashedly about Balayya, who is the centre of it and calls all the shots. His fans will love it, but others will find this hackneyed theme of good versus evil, or a man fighting for the betterment of his people, less than appealing.”

IBNLive doesn’t sound much impressed: “In the absence of an edge-of-the-seat plot, the film is all the less promising. The story is told in a complicated fashion when the plot was quite simple and oldish. Adhinayakudu draws from time-tested stories and presents its own rare conflict point. Otherwise, it doesn’t deserve special mention.”

NDTV Movies feels you can watch it if you have nothing better to do: “Watch Adhinayakudu only for its loud costumes, pedestrian special effects, unintentional hilarity, rear stall hyperbole, belly buttons – and because you’ve got nothing else on standby.”
