‘Bol Bachchan’ , the Bollywood romantic comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, and featuring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai in lead roles has been released. Critics have given the film a massive thumbs down!

Rediff calls it amateurish: “Unlike the Utpal Dutt-Amol Palekar starrer, however, Bol Bachchan isn’t an out-and-out comedy throwing in large-scale action and irksome melodrama. Bol Bachchan is dispensable cinema, forgotten almost immediately after it’s over.”

Nowrunning doesn’t sound impressed: “Bol Bachchan is yet another low IQ comedy from the Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn team. May work for the cinegoers who do prefer giving their brains mindless numbness and lead films like these to massive revenue collections.”

DNA India says it tries too hard to be funny: “Palekar’s Golmaal is funny without trying too hard. Bol Bachchan treats it audience as a bunch of juveniles with an IQ of 20. Director Shetty could only aspire to reach the greatness of the real Golmaal. Over-the-top editing and music add to its ‘wannabe’ nature.”
