‘Eega’,  the Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual socio-fantasy film written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli has been released today, raking up positive reviews all over. Here is what the critics have to say about the film.

IBN Live is extremely impressed: “Rajamouli has made a clever balancing act. One may say that half the film was for kids and the other half was for the adults. Apart from Shankar, not many have achieved this kind of marriage in film making. Not many here can do this kind of film at a cost of Rs. 30 cr. “

123 Telugu calls it a brilliant entertainer: “Eega makes us all proud to be a part of the Telugu Film Industry. It is wildly entertaining, hilarious at times and the Eega really endears itself to viewers. Don’t miss out on ‘Eega’. These kind of films don’t come very often.”

Tollywood has been reborn, according to Great Andhra: “At a time when industry folks are working on formula entertainers with a sole focus on generating box office collections, Rajamouli chose to come up with a subject that will take one line to finish on paper and will sound the most bizarre in concept.”
