‘Naan Ee’, the Tamil version of ‘Eega’, the bi-lingual socio-fantasy film written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli has been released today, raking up positive reviews all over. Here is what the critics have to say about the Tamil film, which is as good as what the Telugu critics have said about it.

Sify calls it excellent: “Naan Ee is a film that touch both heart and mind; that make you surrender completely to the power of the experience. Ultimately however, the film belongs to one man and one man alone-SS Rajamouli. The man had the guts to make a film with a house fly as hero and used technology to translate his dream onto celluloid.”

India Glitz totally agrees: “Director S S Rajamouli, the pride of Telugu cinema, has touched upon a fantasy theme for his first straight Tamil venture. It is a wafer-thin storyline of a man reincarnating as housefly & avenging his death. But a shrewd Rajamouli has laced romance, comedy, emotions and revenge drama well in the story to make it count.”

Tamil Key adds it works big time: “Every once in a while comes a film that grabs your attention and throws you into an experience so profound that nothing else really matters. SS Rajamouli’s Naan Ee is an escapist, comic book-like fantasy film which works big time as it is pure entertainment.
