Nippu (2012) Review Aggregator

Nippu, the Telugu film, directed by flop director Gunasekhar, starring Ravi Teja and Deeksha Seth in the lead has been released this week. The film has opened to thumbs down reviews.

Rediff calls it a let down: “Instead of scorching the screen, the fire seems to have been extinguished by the director himself with his cold and lacklustre screenplay. Even Ravi Teja’s presence doesn’t seem to prop up the film that has a wafer-thin story.”

No fire, only smoke, says the Great Andhra review: “Overall, the film runs on a flimsy storyline, weak execution and most of the focus was on the presentation than filling it with substance. At one point, one begins to wonder whether it is the same Guna Sekhar who made films like ‘Choodalani Vundhi’ ‘Okkadu’ etc. “

Bujjigadu says its just a watchable Ravi Teja film: “Nippu is a movie that has many things going for it. But it also has some equally irritating flaws. Better care in narration and screenplay, coupled with smoother editing would have made the movie highly entertaining. On the whole, Nippu ends up as just a watchable formula Ravi Teja film. “
