Kochadaiyaan to Scale New Technical Heights!

Submitted by on February 21, 2012 – 9:19 pmNo Comment | 88 views

‘Kochadaiyaan’, the Tamil period film being directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by K. S. Ravikumar is all set to scale new technical heights. The film features Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone, R. Sarathkumar, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Aadhi, Shobana, Nassar and Jackie Shroff.

It has even been rumoured that the Tamil film would make use of the state-of-the-art techniques that have been employed in ‘Tintin’, the latest Steven Spielberg film. This technique is called as motion capture or motion tracking, and what makes it different is that it first records the movement of the object before translating it into the digital mode.

Soundarya had earlier directed the animation film ‘Sultan: The warrior Prince’, and when she moves on to directing a full length feature film, we could rest assured that the techniques employed in the film would be the very best.

The film, which would be shot with motion capture in 3D, will have cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon whilst background score and soundtrack will be composed by A. R. Rahman. Perhaps the most anticipated Tamil film in recent times, Kochadaiyaan would be a co-production of Eros Entertainment and Media One Global.
