bhageerathi ver3 300x199 Bhageerathi (2012) Kannada Movie Review AggregatorBaraguru Ramachandrappa’s ‘Bhageerathi’ produced by Benkoshri, that stars Bhavana, Kishore and Srinath in the lead roles has been released. Reviews seem to be quite favorable!

Rediff says its worth a watch: “The film has no villain and it tries to convey the message that people become victims of value systems due to tradition and beliefs. The film is worth watching because it is an unusual film, unlike what the Kannada film industry usually churns out.”

The Times of India is impressed as well: “It’s a movie for those who love folk tales — a non-commercial film with sacrifice as the theme and devoid of fights. The story is set in a village background and may impress old-timers who grew up hearing such tales.”

Chitraloka suggests that this film is surely to be watched: “Dr. Baragooru Ramachandrappa’s new film Bhageerathi produced by Benkoshri is a well made film that is certainly worth a watch.   In a way this is a much better presentation than his earlier award winning films in terms of content, presentation of the narrative and the performances by the artists.”
