Dev,  S/O Mudde Gowda, the Kannada romantic comedy film starring Diganth and Charmee Kaur in the lead roles has been released. Ananth Nag plays a prominent supporting role while the model-turned-actress Nathalia Kaur makes a special appearance. The film has been directed and written by Indrajith Lankesh, and reviews are strictly mixed.

Oneindia says its the visuals that leave a mark: “Dev S/O of Mudde Gowda is stylishly made and Indrajit Lankesh has shown richness in every frame. The movie is technically brilliant but the story is not engaging. It has lost the thread at parts and the predictable tale turns out to be a boring affair. Labelled as a father-son’s story, it fails to evoke the emotions and to set the mood of the audience. “

Super Good Movies agrees totally: “Director Indrajith Lankesh as usual has given the style, glamour and sizzlers on screen keep up the glam quotient. Where is a good story? This type of story is told many a times on Indian screen. There is not touching scenes or absorbing situations.”

Rediff calls it a light hearted comedy: “The Kannada film directed by Indrajit Lankesh, Dev, Son Of Mudde Gowda seems to be plagiarised from the Hindi rom-com Wake Up Sid with some changes. The film is worth watching for its light-hearted comedy.”
