Shiva (2012) Kannada Movie Review Aggregator

Submitted by on August 25, 2012 – 11:19 amNo Comment |

‘Shiva’, the Kannada action film starring Shivarajkumar has been directed by Om Prakash Rao and produced by K. P. Srikanth under Company films banner. The film also stars Ragini Dwivedi in the female lead role. This venture marks the 101st feature film for the actor Shivarajkumar, and the film has opened to average reviews.

Rediff says its only for the actor’s fans: “Director Omprakash Rao, who is known for all his action films, has not lived up to the hype that Shivaa garnered as Shivarajkumar’s 101st film. An average entertainer but this is a movie purely for Shivarajkumar fans. If you are a Shivarajkumar fan, go for it.”

India Glitz seems to be awed by the hero: “A brilliant performer and action hero Shivarajakumar never disappoints his fans. The dialogues in this film are very well written for him and it also showcases the power of Dr Rajakumar family. At half century the stunts from Shivarajakumar receive good applaud.”

Oneindia does not agree though: “Director Om Prakash Rao, who had given blockbusters like AK 47 and Simhada Mari, has tried to do something different, thereby leaving his mix-making technique – taking inspiration from four-five movies. Maybe this might have backfired.”
