‘Josettante Hero’, directed by Haridas with Anoop Menon and Vijayaraghavan doing the lead roles has been released. Reactions of the critics towards the film have been quite negative. Here is what they have to day about the film!

Nowrunning feels that the film makes a mockery of itself: “After having watched ‘Josettante Hero’, I was just wondering of a film that attempts to take a satirical look at the industry, but which in the process ends up making even a great mockery of itself. “

Rediff calls it a bad copy of  ‘Udayanaanu Thaaram': “From the word go, you are aware what is in the offing. Agreed  it is a small film and we should support such efforts. But, such efforts only win if there is originality or even sincerity in the effort. What we get here is a bad copy of Udayananu thaaram. The story by Ansar Kalabavan and scripted by him and Sathyan kolangad just replicates the Saroj kumar phenomenon of Udayananu Thaaram.”

Sify is critical of the lead actor of the film: “In director K K Haridas’ Josettante Hero, which is a film that lacks any merit, Anoop just mocks the viewer, with a performance where he seems to be mimicking his own usual style. The film would have reached the theatres mainly based on his merits and he seems to have taken the approval from the viewers, pretty lightly.”
