Kerala Box Office: ‘Diamond Necklace’ emerges the silent winner!
Lal Jose’s ‘Diamond Necklace’ has emerged the silent winner among the recent releases, having registered a gross collection of 3.74 crores over the weekend. While ‘Mallu Singh’ has reportedly made a collection of 61 lakhs last week, Mohanlal’s ‘Grand Master’ has dropped considerably in the collections last week with 13 lakhs.
Collection reports suggest that the Fahad Fazil starrer is being lapped up by the audiences, slowly but surely. The last week collections of the film is nearly 85 lakhs, and the film that was released in limited centers has been released in about twenty more centers, making it to a total of 42 centers.
Come June, the films are likely to face severe competition from the new releases like ‘Bachelor Party’ and ‘Ustad Hotel’. There are also several small budget films getting ready for release in the coming weeks.
