Submitted by on June 20, 2012 – 9:57 pmNo Comment |

Last week’s releases – Mohanlal – Ranjith team”s ‘Spirit’ and Amal Neerad’s ‘Bachelor Party’ – have both opened huge at the Kerala box office. The initial collections of both the films are remarkably good and if they sustain the collections, both of them might emerge to be hits as well.

By the weekend, ‘Spirit’ has reportedly collected 3.12 crores as gross collection already. ‘Spirit’ has been released in around 79 theatres across the state, and the film that came by with none of the clamor associated with a superstar film, has managed to create an excellent critical opinion as well.

‘Bachelor Party’ with its huge ensemble cast was expected to draw in the crowds, and it did, with a gross collection that has reportedly come quite close at 2.07 crores. It remains to be seen if the film manages to maintain the collections as such, since the critical as well as audience opinions are reportedly not up to the mark.
