Meghna Raj is all set to scare Tamil Nadu now with her Yakshi act in the film ‘Jakkamma’. In case you are wondering more about this film, let’s inform you that it’s the Tamil dubbed version of the Malayalam film that was directed by Vinayan, titled ‘Yakshiyum Njanum’.

The Malayalam film was scripted by the director himself, who had earlier directed horror films in Malayalam like ‘Aakasha Ganga’  and ‘Vellinakshatram’. ‘Yakshiyum Njanum’ was the first Malayalam film to be shot in Red One camera which has immense potential for graphics.

The soundtrack for the film was scored by débutante Sajan Madhav, with lyrics penned by Kaithapram and Vinayan. It also introduced a leading lady to Malayalam films – Meghna Raj – who went on to do several interesting films in Malayalam. The hero was also a new find, Gautham. ‘Jakkamma’ the dubbed version would grace the Tamil screens soon.
