Director M A Nishad, along with actors Pasupathy and Mallika attended the event. Two audio CDs were gifted to selected inmates and a record player was presented to the prison as well.

The director feels that this would indeed be the apt venue for the audio launch, since his film is about a convict. Nishad is fully aware of the issues faced by the convicts in real society, isolation being just one of them. Pasupathy dedicated the movie to all the jail inmates.

The film and its crew had already set a definite example at the time of its launch by conducting its pooja in an open air event that was held at Punalur. Along with Pasupathy and Mallika, the film also has Bollywood actor Makaran Deshpande in the lead role, along with several other actors like Thilakan, Swetha Menon, Padmapriya, Jayalalitha and Jagadeesh in supporting roles.
