Outsider (2012) Review Aggregator

Submitted by on April 2, 2012 – 2:37 pmOne Comment |

Premlal’s ‘Outsider’, which is his second film after the much acclaimed ‘Aathmakatha’ has garnered negative reviews from the critics. The film that stars Sreenivasan, Pasupathy, Indrajith and Ganga Babu in the lead roles was released last Friday.

Nowrunning thinks of it as predictable and generic: “‘Outsider’ makes you take a slow road to nowhere and offers a few genuine insights on the way. The seductive landscapes notwithstanding, the film remains an over drawn out piece that is dangerously predictable and generic.”

Rediff thinks the director seems to have overworked the plot a bit: “Premlal seems to have overworked the plot and is undecided whether to make a thriller or just concentrate on a father’s vulnerability. That makes for some confusion. Outsider is saved by Sreenivasan to a great extent.”

Sify finds it below average: “Beyond the basic concept there is nothing much exciting about the whole film and it needs real patience to sit through this one. With a wafer thin storyline, Outsider needed a rock solid script to make things work. But no such luck here and the film ends up as surprisingly ineffective. Better luck next time, guys!”

OHHHH……….This is a superb film. All the critics are negative in their mindsets to accept it’s class. They compete each other to praise the so called new generation stuff hapening malayalam films whic are actually mere carbon copies of foreign films.
I wonder…what these critics might have told about ‘ Thazhvaaram’ if they were alive while that film got released. Friends….After ‘Thazhvaaram’..Outsider is the film that can give you real hollywood class. It’s a must watch movie…!!!!
