‘Spirit’ that has bee directed by Ranjith stars Mohanlal in the lead role, and has managed to garner positive reviews all over. Here is what the critics have to say about the film.

Nowrunning sounds all impressed: “‘Spirit’ is a turbulent watch that is bound to clamor for your attention. What makes it endearing is the realization that it offers, that the human spirit forever holds a chance to be elevated to a life of light and hope.”

Rediff comments that Mohanlal shines in ‘Spirit’: “Spirit belongs to Mohanlal who brings to the table a kind of vulnerability hidden behind the arrogant exterior. There are occasions when the mask of arrogance falls away and Mohanlal has the expertise to handle such situations with élan.”

Sify appreciates the noble intentions: “If you are not expecting a high voltage drama stuffed with the usual share of emotions, Spirit can turn out to be a nice experience. It may not bowl you over like some of Ranjith’s brilliant movies and seems to be a bit too long, at nearly two hours and thirty minutes.”
