‘Ustad Hotel’, directed by Anwar Rasheed and scripted by Anjali Menon has been released. The film stars Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, along with Thilakan. Looks like its one of the finest films to have come out in Malayalam in recent times, going by the reviews. Take a look!

Nowrunning says its sheer poetry on screen: “This is a film that entirely belongs to the director however, and Anwar’s visualization of this invigorating script is transcendent. The sparks that we had got a glimpse of in the short but incredibly sweet ‘Bridge’ of the ‘Kerala Cafe’ anthology make way for a stunning fireworks display in ‘Ustad Hotel’ that dwells on something called Kismat, and those several other unknown forces that govern our lives. “

Rediff states that it offers a delicious meal: “Ustad Hotel written by Anjali Menon and directed by Anwar Rasheed with Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in the lead has many things going for it. The story, performances, and treatment have all come together to make a very good film.”

Sify feels it works big time: “Ustad Hotel may not shock you with some thrilling plots or dramatic twists, but it is an entertaining watch that can bring smiles on your faces or at certain other instances can make your eyes moist. It could definitely have been less lengthy and more gripping, but it is worth a watch even in this form.

India Glitz says its Anwar’s best as yet: “For all those who had watched and admired the visual waft in the short ‘The Bridge’ in ‘Kerala Cafe’, this may be the one that was eagerly awaited. And for others, this is definitely a breath of fresh air.”
