2004051700550301 Film industry shocked by Taruni Sachdevs demise! The film industry has been in a state of shock ever since news of child actor Taruni Sachdev having passed away in a plane crash yesterday came in. Several of them found it hard to believe that Taruni is no more! Amitabh Bachchan, with whom Taruni had acted in the film ‘Paa’ was one among the many who expressed grief on the unfortunate demise of Taruni Sachdev.

Amitabh Bachchan posted on his Twitter page, “Just reading that Taruni Sachdev the girl child artist in Paa, has perished in Nepal plane crash .. please god may this not be true.”  Abhishek too tweeted, “SHOCKED and very saddened to hear about the Nepal plane crash. Lost 1 of my cutest co-stars. Little Taruni Sachdev from PAA. Speechless.”

Taruni has appeared in numerous South Indian films as a child artiste, and has remained the face of Rasna for years. Taruni and her mother were travelling from Pokhara to Jomsom when the plane crashed at around 9:30 in the morning local time, as it hit a hill top while trying to land at the Jomsom airpot. Thirteen people aboard the plane including Taruni’s mother Geetha Sachdev passed away.
