Ranjeet Kamala Sankar’s ‘Leena’ dares you to dream tonight!

Hand me over a thing or two, from the dream that I had had last night!

As much strange as that might sound, it happens to be the theme of Ranjeet Kamala Sankar’s new film that has been titled ‘Leena’. Impressively shot, remarkably acted and crisply edited, ‘Leena’ is a  fine gem of a short film that does leave a mark in the minds of the viewers!

It all starts with Leena (Chitra) waking up one fine morning to find a stone from a dream that she had had the previous night, resting beside her bed lamp. Her flat mate Reshmi (Lekshmi) is equally mystified, and the psychiatrist that they meet up with, hoping to find a solution doesn’t offer them much solace.

The script that has been penned by Ranjeet Kamala Sankar and Vivek Krishnan lets you the freedom to come up with your own conclusions. I especially loved the peppy musical score by Nobin Paul that rightly blends in an air of mystery and intrigue along with loads of mischief. Shyam Madhavan Sarada’s fine frames add up to the polish of the short film.

Go on, dare to dream tonight! Who knows, what the morning might hold in store for you!

Do take a look at ‘Leena’!
(Running Time: 7 minutes, 46 seconds)
