Healthcare sector brought under the scanner by Aamir Khan

Submitted by on May 27, 2012 – 10:25 pmNo Comment | 120 views

This Sunday’s episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ saw Aamir Khan bringing under the scanner the healthcare sector of the country, thereby drawing our attention to some appalling medical practices held in our country. The facts that were laid out bare on the show, in-keeping with the standards established by the previous episodes, were quite eye-opening.

Plenty of people who have had terrible experiences with fraudulent doctors shared their miserable experiences with the actor and the rest of the country on the show. Questions on medical ethics were also probed into, as well as plenty of other issues related to the healthcare sector.

Satyamev Jayate is the first show ever in the history of Indian Television to be aired simultaneously on a private channel network STAR and a national broadcaster Doordarshan. The show is also dubbed in several languages including three Indian southern languages viz., Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, along with Marathi and Bengali. It would be aired every Sunday at 11.00 AM.
