Sonna Puriyathu (2013) Tamil Movie Review Aggregator

‘Sonna Puriyathu’, the Tamil comedy film directed by debutant Krishnan Jayaraj, the former associate of C. S. Amudhan that features Shiva and Vasundhara in the lead roles has been released. Reviews are mixed.

Behind Woods does not sound impressed: “In all, though Sonna Puriyathu really peters out towards the end, if you are a fan of Shiva’s brand of comedy, it might just be the movie for you this weekend.”

India Glitz gives it 2.75 out of 5: “Well direction wise, Krishna has to go a long way in making a movie that will make the audience understand, he could’ve given some core elements that stick the movie together. Music is very average except for the song “Kelu Magane Kelu”. DOP by Saravanan is fair and clean as well.”

Desimartini thinks of it as a mixed bag as well: “Sonna Puriyadhu is not a full course meal you can guilelessly indulge in. You can consume it in one shot, but I doubt if you can digest it.”
