Court orders Kalabhavan Mani to surrender before May 25th

The High Court of Kerala, considering actor Kalabhavan Mani’s anticipatory bail appeal, has ordered him to surrender before the police before the 25th of May.

Mani is wanted by the police in connection with a tiff that he had had with forest officials who had checked his vehicle at the forest range at Athirapally. The Kerala Forest Protective Staff Association had expressed its protest at Mani not being arrested, even after he was allegedly involved in a fight with the forest officials on duty.

However, Mani claims otherwise and in his anticipatory bail appeal had stated that the forest officials had insulted him citing his caste. The wife of the actor’s friend who was reportedly with them at the time of the incident has also filed a complaint against the forest officials.

Was Shaji Kailas’s Sreesanth film just another rumour?

Looks like the much discussed film on Sreesanth that director Shaji Kailas and writer A K Sajan were planning was just a rumour!

Even as reports abound on the internet that a film was being planned on cricket by the writer and director, the film makers seem to have no clue about such a project!

Its very common these days of projects being announced in Mollywood, and these projects later turning out to be mere false reports. Looks like this film is another addition to the list!

Has Andrea Jeremiah sworn herself off Fahad films?

We were surprised to see news reports doing the rounds that Andrea Jeremiah has sworn herself off Fahad films in the future.

A prominent medium has reported that Andrea, in an interview given to a Tamil channel, has stated that she was not pleased with the rumors that had romantically linked her with Fahad. She also has reportedly made it clear that she is neither in love with Fahad nor has plans to marry in the near future.

If the reports are indeed true, it is indeed sad news, since Andrea and Fahad did make a wonderful pair on screen, as was evident from their film together – ‘Annayum Rasoolum’. Andrea has however signed a film with Prithviraj titled ‘London Bridge’ that would shortly go on the floors.

Mythili stuns onlookers with her daredevil act!

Actress Mythili stunned the onlookers at the shooting location of the Malayalam film ‘Red’ the other day, when she did a daredevil act without a dupe.

A scene that required her to be hit by a car was essayed to perfection by the actress who was held by ropes attached to a crane. The action sequence was canned by Rajasekharan who had shot the action sequences for films like ‘Nadodigal’, ‘Adukalam’ and ‘Traffic’.

‘Red’ is being directed by Vasudev Sanal. Asif Ali, Lal, Sreenivasan, Nandu, Manikuttan and Lena will be seen in key roles in the film.

Prithviraj might have silenced his critics by delivering a whopper performance in his second Hindi film ‘Aurangzeb’, but the actor says that he has no plans to shift base to Bollywood.

Its purely out of interest that he is doing Hindi films, and doing a few Hindi films should not be seen as a shift of interest, says the actor.

I felt my character in ‘Immanuel’ could have been better: Fahad Fazil

Actor Fahad Fazil has revealed to a leading Malayalam film magazine that as a film, he is not satisfied with ‘Immanuel’ as a film.

He has reportedly stated in the interview that ‘Immanuel’ was a film that he had done based on personal relations, and that when he saw his character on screen he felt it could have been much better. “For that matter, I feel the same when I watch most films of mine,” said Fahad.

He added that the audience might have liked his character and performance, but he doesn’t think of it as a great thing.
