‘Raktharakshassu’, the 3D film that has been directed by R Factor is all ready for release. Produced by 3D Reams International, the film comes with the tagline, ‘Who says it is you, who loves your child the most?’ The film stars Sunny Wayne and Ananya in the lead roles.

The film has been shot in 3D and claims that this will be the firs Malayalam film to be screened in 7.1 audio! Rupesh Paul has penned the “story and poetry” of  ‘Raktharakshassu’, which would be a horror film on the lines of ‘Dracula’. The screenplay is by Sherin Catherine and the cinematography by Nambiathiri. Music is by Muhammed Ali.

Dileep would shoot on locations near the Secretariat and the Legislative Assembly during this schedule.’Nadodi Mannan’ is expected to be a pucca commercial entertainer.

Meanwhile, Dileep has already completed shooting for ‘My Boss’ that has been directed by Jithu Joseph in which he has been paired with Mamta Mohandas.

There is no dearth to the film offers that have been coming her way, and the latest film that she has signed up for is ‘Thomson Villa’ in which she will be paired with young actor Hemanth Menon.

This would be the first time that Hemanth and Ananya would be paired together, though they had acted together earlier in the film ‘Dr. Love’. The film would be directed by Abin Jacob and scripted by veteran scenarist Dennis Joseph.

However it turns out that the restaurant owners can heave a sigh of relief in this case. The actress had apparently taken sick after consuming food that was cooked at her own home.

Her condition is reported to be stable, and she is already back home after being provided preliminary care at the hospital. Her beau Anjaneyan is with her as well.

Rediff says Indrajith shines in the film: “Writer Biju K Peter and director Aneesh Anwar have a surprise for audiences in the end, but it comes a little too late in an over- stretched climax. Mullamottum Munthiricharum tries to be good but remains just average.”

Nowrunning states that the film is forgettable: “Aneesh Anwar does show sparks of talent, but the script has mostly defeated his purpose as of now. At best ‘Mullamottum Munthiricharum’ offers a few amusing moments, but remains quickly forgettable. It could do well with some script polish and perhaps with a lot more focus.”

Sify says the same: “If you are not yet tired with such overtly melodramatic story situations, debutant director Aneesh Anwar’s Mulllamottum Munthiricharum recreates it all. With a lousy script, ordinary production values and less than impressive acting in general, the film disappoints big time.”

Deccan Chronicle dwells on the actor more, and on the film less: “The likeable negative character, who makes every possible effort to exhibit the shorts under his lungi, is in the same league as that of Dileep’s in Meesha Madhavan, and even evokes memories of Mammootty’s in Vidheyan; however, his lines are neither crassly hilarious nor sadistically amusing.”

Ananya says that she is tired answering phone calls inquiring about her marriage, and that her wedding would be a public affair, with friends and family in attendance. She was reacting to the news that had gone viral online recently, that she had tied the knot with beau Anjaneyan at Thirupati.

Ananya has already had much trouble dealing with the numerous stories that had spread about her, ever since she had got engaged to Anjaneyan. She had even expressed distress over the unruly intrusion into her private life, solely because she happens to be an actress.

The market for horror films is never on the decline. There are very few genuine horror films that have caught the fancy of the viewer in Malayalam, and ‘Raktharakshassu’ seems all set to be a winner. So get your 3D glasses ready, and get set to be scared out of your wits!
