We hear that the final schedules of the film would soon commence, and that director Priyadarshan would play himself in the film. Sunil Shetty, Bollwyood actor would also be seen in a key role in the film.

‘Kalimannu’ stars Biju Menon and Swetha Menon in the lead roles, and had attracted much criticism after the director had shot Swetha Menon’s child delivery at a hospital in Mumbai, for the film.

Nowrunning calls it a disappointment: “’3 Dots’ is a royal disappointment on account of reasons more than one, the lack of a plausible and inventive story being the most noteworthy of them. It’s a comedy that is not especially funny and the drama that follows is not especially dramatic either.”

Rediff terms it an ordinary film: “Kunchacko Boban is in his groove with his sheepish comedy and being a foil for Biju Menon. Only Prathap Pothan gets to do something substantial here; maybe because he is new in the team and the think tank behind this film has put some thought into creating his character. 3 Dots held a lot of promise coming from the winning team of Ordinary, but this film turns out to be less than ordinary.”

Sify calls it a lowbrow comedy: “3 Dots may not be appealing for the discerning viewer but it could be fine in parts if you are not there to delve deep into its merits, or for the hardcore fans of the lead stars. The choice is yours!”

Looks like Jayasurya would be seen along with Biju Menon and Kavya Madhavan in the film ‘Naayika’ that forms one of the five films that make up the ‘Anchu Sundarikal’ anthology.

Jayasurya maintains that he has always maintained a warm relationship with Aashiq Abu, and that he was glad to accept the offer when it came his way. The film would be shot on locations at Munnar.

Nowrunning is not impressed by Boban Samuel’s second film: “I kinda liked Boban Samuel’s debut film ‘Janapriyan’ that talked of a man who had an innate ability to spread his inherent goodness all around. But his second film has left me in disappointment, since the believability that had made his debut film so endearing is seriously missing in his second cinematic outing.”

Rediff thinks of it as just an average comic caper: “Director Boban Samuel tries to reap the rewards of this in his new venture Romans, a low-brow comedy that doesn’t require the viewer to think or use his brain. Written by Y V Rajesh Romans can best be described as a gag-a-thon where the audience is made to chuckle or laugh every few moments without really bothering about the story (for nearly three hours at that).”

The film has been scripted by Kalavoor Ravikumar and is expected to be a comic caper that would have the audience in splits! The film would be inkeeping with the expectations that are expected of a Shafi film, as the director has delivered hit after hit all these years!

The official poster of the film has been designed by ace designer Collins Leophil and features the three lead actors piled over one another. Laughter does seem to be in store. Sachi would script this film, that would be produced by Biju Menon, P Sukumar, Shajoon Karyal, Sachi and Suresh Krishna under the banner of Thakkali Films.

The last film that Shajoon Karyal had directed was ‘Vadakkunnathan’ that was released in 2006. It’s after a gap of six years that Shajoon directs a film.

Sajan would attempt to tell the story of a man who is inspired by the teachings of the spiritual guru Osho. The film would dwell on the problems that he encounters when he gets married and decides to lead a family life.The film that also stars Nedunudi Venu and Jayabharathi would start its shoot in October.

A K Sajan who is quite renowned as a script writer has directed a few films like ‘Stop Violence’ and ‘Lanka’. He had also scripted the Mammootty film ‘Drona 2010′ which was a disaster. So will ‘Osho’ come to his rescue? Only time will tell.
