Deepika, we hear is all set to star in an English film that will be directed by Homi Adajania. And guess who Deepika’s co-star in the film is?

Its Arjun Kappor, who has had a release with ‘Ishaqzaade’ and who is awaiting a new release with ‘Aurangzeb’ who will star with Deepika in the film.

‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ is a Bollywood romance film directed by Ayan Mukerji under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, who star in their second film together after ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin will play supporting roles.

For his role in the film, Kapoor will be sporting pierced ears. His character reportedly called Bunny, is that of a travel show host and an ardent traveller. The music of ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ will be composed by Pritam, who is composing the music for a Dharma Productions film for the first time.

Evelyn Sharma, Mokshad Dodwani, Omar Khan, Nupur Joshi, Sainath Dukkipati, Poorna Jagannathan and Rana Daggubati will be seen in supporting roles. The film is said to be a tribute to the cinema of Nasir Hussain, who directed classics such as ‘Dil Deke Dekho’. After initially being aimed for March 2013, the film will now be releasing on 31 May 2013.

There would be any number of actresses around who would die to be seen in an item number in a Sharukh Khan film. Looks like Nayantara does not fall into the league.

Nayantara, who was offered an item number in the Shahrukh Khan – Deepika Padukone film ‘Chennai Express’ has declined the offer, much to the amazement everyone around!

The actress probably feels that entering Bollywood through an item number would not after all be a step in the right direction. We are sure better offers await the gorgeous actress in Bollywood.

Directors Abbas and Mustan might have a winner finally in their hands, as their new film ‘Race 2′ looks like its racing away up the box office charts. The reviews of the film range from average to pretty good.

Hindustan Times states that the coolness is all: “Race 2 is essentially a big-budget cartoon in which coolness is all. The director duo Abbas-Mustan have no pretensions about what they are making – full-on masala with a dash of revenge, a slice of heist and characters who are either strutting their chiselled bodies in slow motion or betraying each other.”

Rediff says the film is worth a watch: “Tightly done action sequences, lots of glamour and one liners that cater to the classes and the masses is what makes Race 2worth a watch. Thankfully, after a long time the director duo of Abbas-Mustan have got a winner in their hands with this sequel as they handle this suspense-thriller with the panache that reminds audiences of Baazigar and Khiladi.”

IBN Live asserts that the film isn’t boring: “‘Race 2′ is the cinematic equivalent of a trashy novel. It never holds together as a sensible piece of work, but as an insensible piece of work, it’s pretty enjoyable. Director-duo Abbas Mustan create a cocktail of glamorous stars, exotic foreign locations, slick action scenes, and an outrageous plot.”
