The double roles that Dileep had done earlier in films like ‘Kunjikoonan’ and quite recently ‘Mayamohini’ were much appreciated by the audience. And it should not be forgotten that Dileep and Joshi have together come up with some bumper hit films like ‘Runway’, ‘Lion’ and ’20 – 20′.

It’s renowned cinematographer Azhagappan who says that he has felt that Mohanlal is like a magician in front of the camera. “It’s impossible to predict the emotions and feelings that would flash across his face, and often he would astound us with his performance,” says the cameraman.

“Mammootty is an embodiment of masculinity, no doubt and he puts any cinematographer to unrest with his mere presence,” says Azhagappan. Azhagappan also adds that Dileep has often surprised him as an actor.

The duo had joined hands for films like ‘Inspector Garud’ and ‘Kochi Rajaavu’ later. Johny is currently busy with the scripting of his new film ‘Aaru Muthal Arupathu Vare’ that has Mohanlal doing the lead role.

We hear that the director has plans to do a Dileep film soon after, which has been titled ‘Gunda Master’. Siby K Thomas – Uday Krishna would script the film that would start its shoot in 2014.

Dileep himself has clarified his stand, putting these rumours to rest, and has stated that it’s up to Manju to decide if she wants to do films again or not.

He also has revealed that he has never been opposed to Manju’c comeback, and added that at the moment she is concentrating on her dance performances.

Rediff calls the film atrocious: “There is a herd mentality among Malayalam filmmakers to follow the successful pattern that seems to be in vogue. The trend these days is to feature food or exotic eateries. Proprietors: Kamath & Kamath, the much hyped multi-starrer, with Mammootty and Dileep in the lead, takes this trend to the level where the viewer is on the brink of throwing up.”

Nowrunning says it isn’t worth remembering: “With two of Malayalam’s favourite stars, elements of humour, and a weak plot, Kammath and Kammath is a one-time watch. The movie isn’t painful. But then, it doesn’t give you even one scene worth remembering.”

Sify sounds least impressed as well: “Scenarists Siby K Thomas and Udayakrishna flounders big time as they struggle to keep the attention of the viewers intact. The Konkani accent becomes mere mimicry, after a while.”

Namitha has just signed up for ‘Sound Thoma’ the new Dileep film that would be directed by hit maker Vaishakh. The young actress who plays the daughter of a musician in the film says that its a refreshing experience to be working with Dileep.

So will Vaishakh’s unsurpassed record come to Namitha’s rescue this time around? Will she be able to taste box office success with her second film? Wait and watch this space for the answers!

It’s learned that actor Dileep, had expressed a desire to release the film. However he has been reported to have backed out of his plans, since the Exhibitors Federation has warmed him of severe consequences if he supported what the Federation considers to be an act that would cause grave harm to the theeatre owners.

Its learned that Kamal Haasan might himself release the film in Kerala through Rajkamal release, and that the government theatres and those that would not come under the ‘A’ category cinema halls would screen the film in the state.
