The film in question is the sequel to the yesteryear hit ‘Souten’ that was directed by Sawan Kumar Tak, starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim and Padmini Kolhapure. The film was released in 1983.

Isabel would be a part of the Indo-Canadian film ‘Dr. Cabbie’ that is being co-produced by Salman Khan Being Human Productions. Kunal Nayyar, Adrianne Palicki and Vinay Virmani will play the male lead roles in the film.

Salman Khan Being Human Productions had earlier produced the film ‘Chillar Party’ in 2011.

The television network has reportedly brought the telecast rights of his upcoming films through the deal, and seems like its every bit the right decision, if you take a look at the impressive box office record of the actor.

From 2013 onwards, the channel would hold the exclusive rights of telecasting his new films. With film after film turning out to be super super hits at the box office, Salman and Star TV seem to have struck a golden deal all right!

However trade pundits predict that the film is unlikely to touch the 200 crore mark, as collections have started to slow down a bit due to several external factors, the major one being the Indo-Pak cricket series.

It was Shaadi.com that conducted the survey, and the website has revealed that of the 21,000 respondents, 69.84 percent felt that Katz would be Salman’s ideal partner.

Salman’s unsurpassed box office record continues with ‘Dabangg 2′, and though the film hasn’t managed to generate absolutely positive reviews, they do not seem to reflect on the film’s BO collections.

The film that has been directed by Arbaaz Khan has been reportedly made on a budget of 50 crores, which means that it would end up a huge winning proposition for the makers eventually.

Rediff thinks the film looks all too familiar: “Dabangg 2 serves primarily as a reminder of what this Rs 100 crore addiction is doing to the art of entertainment. Entertainment, not filmmaking, mind you. Even escapism deserves to be treated with boundless imagination.  And so I’ll take Salman Khan stopping a moving tram with nothing but a blazer over the same old Matrix-era maneuvers. Now THAT was quite a kamaal, Pandeyji.”

Salman Khan is the glue that holds together a slipshod film, says IBN Live: “Given that Dabangg 2 is a family production in every sense of the term – Salman Khan stars, his brother Arbaaz directs, Arbaaz’s wife Malaika Arora produces, and their sister Alvira Agnihotri does costumes – you can’t help but wonder why no one thought of roping in their father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, to slap the script into shape.”

Koimoi thinks its half way there: “Dabangg 2 is like the poorer clone of its precursor, but it’s enjoyable with the action, Kung Fu Pandey, dollops of romance, songs and the rib-tickling comedy.”
