Will Shahrukh agree to do ‘Baazigar 2′?

Producer Ratan Jain has no immediate plans for a sequel to ‘Baazigar’, the runaway hit of 1993 that had catapulted Shahrukh Khan to real stardom.

However the thought is definitely there, but the producer has reportedly stated that there will not be a sequel if Shahrukh Khan is not a part of it.

That does sound like some exciting news for SRK fans, and we will have to wait and find out if the star agrees to be a part of the film or not. Watch this space for further details!

Nayantara declines item number offer in SRK’s ‘Chennai Express’

There would be any number of actresses around who would die to be seen in an item number in a Sharukh Khan film. Looks like Nayantara does not fall into the league.

Nayantara, who was offered an item number in the Shahrukh Khan – Deepika Padukone film ‘Chennai Express’ has declined the offer, much to the amazement everyone around!

The actress probably feels that entering Bollywood through an item number would not after all be a step in the right direction. We are sure better offers await the gorgeous actress in Bollywood.

Shahrukh Khan feels sorry for being a man!

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is as shocked as the rest of the country at the ghastly incident that took place in Delhi last week, when a 23 year old physiotherapist was raped and tortured by six men aboard a moving bus in the capital city. The victim later succumbed to her injuries.

Shortly after the demise of the young rape victim, the superstar tweeted, “I am so sorry that I am a man. I promise I will fight with your voice. I will respect women so that I gain my daughter’s respect.” He also added, “Rape embodies sexuality as our culture and society has defined it. I am so sorry that I am a part of this society and culture.”

Bollywood had come out strongly in support of the victim, and has demanded that the culprits be punished severely.

This certainly is one of the hottest rumours doing the rounds, and if it happens to be true, which we hope it is, there is indeed reason for some huge celebration!

News has it that Malayalam’s young superstar has been offered a role along with Shahrukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in Farah Khan’s new film that has been titled ‘Happy New Year’.

We hear this wouldn’t be a lead role, but would be a role that would make Bollywood sit up and take notice of Prithvi. His debut Bollywood film ‘Aiyyaa’ has released earlier in the year, but had sunk without a trace.

Shahrukh Khan has had a gala release of his latest film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ this Diwali, and the film has already gained much acclaim for being acclaimed director Yash Chopra’s final film. Starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead female roles, the film has opened to a terrific response all over. Here is what the critics thought of the film.

NDTV Movies sounds impressed: “Watch Jab Tak Hai Jaan not just for the obvious sentimental reason but for the fact that it shows, for one last time, what Bollywood will miss now that the undisputed master of romantic sagas is no more.”

Zee News thinks this one would be remembered, jab tak hai jaan: “In case you still haven’t, go watch ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. You can thank the Kings of Romance once you’re done with the film… nahi bhoolenge hum, jab tak hai jaan!”

Rediff does not sound all bowled over: “…by phase three of this romance, the screenplay has gone completely haywire and filled with a series of turnabouts that wouldn’t look so out of place in a Manmohan Desai caper. The last half an hour meanders at a snail’s pace and packs in one daft development after another. And I can’t help agreeing with the man in the seat next to mine who remarked, ‘Is this the uncut version?’”

I’m fighting for my rights and not against Shahrukh Khan: Ajay Devgn

Actor Ajay Devgn is aware of the criticisms being hurled at him for having dragged Yash Raj Films into a legal battle, barely a few days after Yash Chopra has passsed away, but the actor reiterates that the complaint that has been moved against the production banner preceded the director’s illness and demise.

Devgn feels that the production house Yash Raj Film has, has using their standing in the industry, monopolized the theatres for Diwali for their release ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, leaving his own film ‘Son of Sardar’ with very few theatres. The Competition Commission Of India has however rejected the complaint from actor Ajay Devgn, saying that his complaint doesn’t have any merit.

The actor added that he is merely fighting for his rights and nothing else. He feels that this one isn’t a personal battle against Shahrukh Khan either either and says that this is an issue that needs to be dealt with sooner or later.

Half-shot ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ song to be left incomplete

There is still some shooting left for ‘Ja Tak Hai Jaan’, with the scenes for half a song still left to be canned. But the film’s lead actor Shahrukh Khan has made it clear that the incomplete portions of the song would not be shot.

This is because, the film’s crew believes that it would not be right to work further on a film that has been completed by the legendary film maker Yash Chopra, who passed away last week.

SRK says that the film maker had plans to shoot the couple of minutes left in the song, in Switzerland. However, film viewers wl have to make do with the film, minus those two minutes, since the editing has also been completed by Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra is making the audience go ga-ga over her performance in the recently released Hindi film ‘Barfi’ and the actress has someone very special to thank for it.

Priyanka has revealed that it was none other than Shahrukh Khan himself who helped her play the role of the autistic girl to perfection in ‘Barfi’. SRK himself had essayed a similar role in the film ‘My Name is Khan’ and he had lent her the research that he had done for the character.

Priyanka herslef tweeted this bit of news the other day. “Also thank you SRK for lending me all your My Name is Khan research, you gave me perspective on Jhilmil..owe you another one..love always,” went her tweet.

The new Shahrukh Khan – Katrina Kaif film that is being directed by Yash Chopra finally gets a name. Titled ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, the film also stars Anushka Sharma in a key role.

The makers of the film had released the official poster of the film the other day, and SRK fans have gone all ga-ga over it. “This one is gonna be a rocking hit for sure,” gushed Sameera, a hardcore SRK fan who is a graduate student from Trivandrum.

“The SRK – Katrina pair would work wonders,” says Maneesh, an IT professional based in Chennai. The film would have SRK playing an army man, and would be a film that marks the comeback of Yash Chopra after a long period of around 8 years.
